I Stand With Golf Balls
These tiny heroes of golf have become my friends this week as I have been photographing a golf course. Although I am not a golfer, I have grown very fond of these flying balls. They take a lot of abuse from their owners...
Three Days of Silence
Last December, I went on a solo trip to Venice, Italy, with a mission of creating photographs and spending time in walking meditation. Other than talking with hotel and restaurant staff, I was in silence for three days.
Reaching the outside from within
This photograph is one of my favorite images from my SOLITUDE series. There are two figures in the picture; a bird in the foreground, and a person approaching from the back. They both exist in nearly the same space, but neither seems to be aware of the other - This is often the way we go through life. Too often we are trapped inside our minds, jumping from one thought to the next, unaware of the world around us.
Using Imagery for Meditation
I've always felt attracted to the place where things meet. Imagine these meeting places - The sea and the shore. The newborn entering the world. Day meeting night. This collision creates dynamic interactions and moments of interest.
