Gaviota Daydream is a series of four square photographs that represent the feeling of summer. Each image was orginally captured by camera at Gaviota Beach in Californa. The distincitve lines in the images are train tracks that must be crossed to access the cliffside that leads to the beach.
This series attempts to recreate the feelings associated with summer beachgoing. The train tracks are the seperation between the roadway and the beach. In a way, they serve as a metaphore - There is always a line we cross en route to any destination. A line that, once crossed, means we are "slmost there."
This series, hung on a wall, should be a reminder of this feeling of acheivment and inspire the viewer to continue on their path towards their goals.
There is alwasy light at the end of the tunnel.
